Wedding & Event Calligraphy

This spring the B-hive has been buzzing with a myriad of large-scale calligraphy projects. One project was for a long-time business client. Whenever they open a new office, they hire us to address the client invitation envelopes. For this job, over 500 envelopes were hand-calligraphed for two new offices opening in New York, NY and Menlo Park, CA. By choosing to spend marketing dollars on calligraphy, our client sends an immediate message of being an elegant, high-touch business. And hopefully, the open-rate is much higher than envelopes with computer-generated mailing labels!

The bulk of the calligraphy projects created at bumble B design are for weddings. There are so many good wedding invitation designers in Seattle that we typically leave the invitation design to them and focus on calligraphy for the invitation envelopes and place cards. Customers choose from the styles seen in the calligraphy section of our website and on our Facebook page (bumble B design), and we employ several different ink colors besides traditional black including brown, blue, silver, gold, green, gray, and white. We love the peaceful process of making beautiful letters, and being the messenger of love and happiness.

Beyond the large scale wedding & event calligraphy projects, each day the calligraphy pens are used at bumble B design to create custom gift tag messages for all of our gift baskets, boxes and bags. This feature of our gifts continues to receive rave comments from gift recipients. In a world of mass-production, bringing artful personalization to the sentiment behind the gift is just as important as the gift itself, in our estimation!
